Financial Coaching FAQ

It's not therapy. It's not counseling. It's not financial planning.
It's
different; it's about life change.

What can I expect in my sessions?

Coaching sessions are private meetings between you (and your spouse) and your coach. Sessions can be virtual or in person. During the session, expect your coach to ask a lot of questions; both to understand your circumstances and to help you see past them.

Your coach is trained to listen first, then provide tools or recommendations. You are in the driver seat; your coach is there to provide tools, prospective, and encouragement.

How many sessions will I need?

Why 'biblical' financial coaching?

Because it works. Weather you consider yourself a follower of Jesus or not, the principles and practices the bible gives for managing money are effective. Give to those in need; Dump debt and save for emergencies; Manage your finances diligently and invest to build wealth.

Jesus taught that what you do with money will effect your whole life. With God’s help, countless people over thousands of years have improved their lives by managing money God’s way. We would love to help you become one of them.

Ultimately, the number of sessions you need is dependent on your goals. Most of our clients book multi-session packages to get input and accountability as they work out the new financial skills they learn from their coach. Here are some examples of client objectives that may help you decide what package makes sense for you:

Single Session: Answer a specific question.

  • "Help me understand the benefits available at my work."

  • "I'm considering a major purchase and want a neutral 2nd opinion."

3 Sessions: Set a goal and get tools to tackle it.

  • "I don't know where my money goes; I feel out of control."

  • "We are married and want to work together with our money."

5 Sessions: Plan, take action, and stay motivated.

  • "I want get through college with no debt, but I don't know where to start or what to do."

  • "We are overwhelmed with debt payments. We want to get out."

10 Sessions: Support for changing financial habits.

  • "I want to win with money, but need support and accountability for the long term that I'm not getting from my friends."

  • "We are behind on the house and debt collectors are calling us. We need help fighting the current financial fire and rebuilding afterwards."

What qualifications will my coach have?

Your coach will have years of experience providing financial coaching to people just like you. We have helped hundreds of individuals and couples change their lives by managing money God's way.

Highspire financial coaches are required to have completed one or more biblical financial coaching certifications from either Dave Ramsey, Crown Ministries, or similarly credentialed organization. All of our coaches are vetted by our leadership team and our board of directors.

How much does it cost?

The consultation is free. Book some time with one of our coaches and find out how we can help. There is no risk or strings attached.

If you choose to move past that consultation and engage a coach, there is a cost for each session; generally less than a premium cable TV bill.
Book a single session or check out our discounted packages for more information.

If you are in financial need and can't afford your coaching sessions, please book a free consultation and submit an request for aid form. If you qualify and we have funds available, it would be our privilege to help you.

What will I learn?

Your coach will meet you where you are and give you the financial tools to get you where you need to go. Each coaching relationship is unique and our coaches do not force clients through a 'one-size-fits-all' process. Some of our clients have the head knowledge and just need refreshed or supported as they get back on the bandwagon.

Does my coach make money off of me?

We pay our coaches a per session stipend that comes from the coaching fee you pay. The reason is simple: we want them to only work for you.

Unlike coaching from banks or insurance companies, our coaches are not trying to sell you anything. They don't make any money on referrals or pushing financial products on you.
